If you notice that the ventilation from the attic fan is not flowing as well as it should be there might be a blade caught somewhere.

Locate the thermostat casing and open it using a screwdriver.
If the attic fan isn t turning on it could be an electrical issue a problem with the thermostat or the motor of the fan that s not working.
If it is rotating slowly or not producing a lot of air in the high speed setting you may have a problem with the exhaust or intake.
Your attic fan may not be turning on because of an electrical problem like a tripped circuit breaker a blown fuse or a bad connection.
In this case shut off the power to the fan and check the blades.
Make sure to visually inspect your fan to see if it is operating before troubleshooting.
If there is any damage to the belt replace it with a new one.
If the fan motor is not working properly it must be replaced.

Switch off the power of the attic fan and remove the power cord.
If the motor is working but the fan blades are not moving the problem may be the belt.
If the vents are blocked by insulation boxes or other obstructions heat will not be able to escape through them and they will not spin.
Check the breaker to the fan and make sure it is flipped to the on position.
A fan motor that is burning out won t spin the fan blades fast enough to open the shutters.
If your solar attic fan is mechanically not working this may be a warranty issue.
If the fan is getting power determine whether the fan motor is working properly or not.
This issue can happen on any type of attic fan as it is caused by the fan blades being bent dented or broken.
In some fans the fuse is hidden inside one of the short fiberglass sleeves gold color.
