Driver s side passenger floor board was soaking wet after rain.

After hurricane irene and tropical storm lee went by the carpet liner on the passenger side was soaked and the car now smells musty. The 05 mustang is fairly in famous for water intrusion issues. Then the drivers floor board started getting wet also. Another possibility besides the cabin filter drain is the a c condensation drain.

You get into your mustang to drive to work and you notice some sloshing in the passenger s side foot well. Also the sunroof track has 4 drain tubes and the right front may be clogged or leaking. The driver s side rear floor is absolutely soaked after a heavy rain. You could hear water sloshing around under the car.

The a c removes lots of moisture from the air and sends it to the ground through a hose on the passenger s side. For some unfortunate owners this is all too common after a heavy rain. This is a convertible. You can check that by pouring a cup of water down the right front drain tube in the sunroof track and see if water comes out by the right front wheel.

We do not feel any water around the roof liner or other carpeting just the well where a rear passenger riding on the driver s side would put their feet.
