Mustang Carpet Dye

The carpet on my car is 2 years old which to me seems pretty new but the south texas heat has discolored most of it to a nasty.

Discussion starter 1 apr 15 2003. Not necessarily mustang related but has anyone used carpet dye before. Where to get it reccomended brands and is it even worth it. The carpet still looks like new after 2 years.

Known to many restorers dying your faded carpet back to new allows you freshen up and reuse original carpet sets. After that i took the spy bottle of rit dye and sprayed it on the carpet. Of course i don t want any color fading or. Wondering if anyone used or attempted this.

This simple dye job is a great project for your vintage mustang. The carpet is black so it shouldn t be that hard to match up. Ok when used the dye i had the carpet out and took a spray bottle of clean water and sprayed it down. Each dye job is affected by factors such as the method used to apply the dye the length and density of the carpet s fibers the strength of the dye formula and and the intensity of the color.

I thought that eastwood carried carpet dyes but so far all the dyes i have found are paints. Hey guy did anyone ever dye or paint their carpet i bought used gray carpet for my notch and it has a spot on the pass trans tunnel that is heavy faded but the rest is great. I have a gray carpeted speaker box that i would like to dye black to match my other carpet. I need some info on carpet dye.
